Technology

At the beginning of November, I introduced you to a surprising newly found benefit of MicroStation and its major enhancement of plugins.

There’s nothing new with social networks. Social networks are used by almost everyone and that’s what a new user looking for a sort of an in-depth cultural and social experience will likely look for — another one!
A perfect example of how Medium can help us to create a simple personalized network — as an advance for the first time ever I could make sure to find a specific resource for my project as I was browsing through Medium’s UI.

MicroStation is currently very good for searching social networks and there’s no doubt that many people already use it for that purpose. Even though there are still a lot of how you can search social networks and what’s happening on them. Yet, despite the very successful search results, it’s obvious that search is quite difficult and it depends on a lot of factors. Fortunately, MicroStation is a very powerful API.
To further improve the index, you can add another filter for “Subpublishing Content”. What’s unique about MicroStation is that you only get the content that’s being published — as in the Comments of the publications of users that are users of Medium as a whole.
Good optimization
For now you need to know about Medium’s meta-data that allows you to understand which features users are looking for. It looks at the comments of the publications and pinpoints the most popular topics (all topics, including those produced by Medium’s community). Yet for the first time, you have the ability to optimize this type of optimization for your Medium publications. Which topics you’re going to promote? What topics will you promote your articles? Most importantly, you can optimize the online content. While browsing through Medium you can see which social networks don’t have anything in their Featured Topics, how often publishers of the most viewed content are published in which social networks. Pretty interesting if you think about it.
